3D-Secure is a secure online payment protocol that aims to ensure the customer’s identity in order to minimise fraud. One of the 3DS applications today is sending a single-use SMS code to the buyer (One Time Password, OTP SMS). The new version of the protocol (3DS V2) reinforces the authentication method.
